When you buy games, ring tones or logos through your mobile always read the small print, otherwise you may inadvertently be giving permission for companies to send you expensive texts that you don't want.

These premium rate text messages can cost mobile phone users up to £1.50 a time.

If you have accidentally subscribed to a service, you can send the universal STOP command, this should prevent any further contact...

  • Text the number back with just the following words:  STOP ALL
