Internet made the Radio Star!
Calling all budding DJ’s and ‘wannabe’ radio stars. Thanks to an innovative new project between the North Glasgow Wireless Network, the Access North Glasgow Community Portal and Bolt FM your dreams of broadcasting could be a step closer.
The Wireless Network project that brings high speed digital services to North Glasgow and the Access North Glasgow Community Portal, the communities most comprehensive and up to date information source have teamed up with community radio station Bolt FM, to broadcast ‘streaming’ radio over the internet on the Access
North Glasgow homepage.
www.accessnorthglasgow.co.uk
The project will allow all the latest North Glasgow news, events and music to be broadcast live in to homes around the world. If you’re not online at home you need not miss out though as the ‘wireless network’ also means that the service will be available at any learning centre or public access point throughout the north of the city.
The project means that Bolt FM, which currently only broadcasts during short periods throughout the year, because of license restrictions, will be able to broadcast via the internet on a much more regular basis. This
will ensure that the community’s favourite station prospers and more people get a chance to get involved and the costly equipment already in place gets utilised during times when the FM broadcast is not being done.
However, the project will only work and be the fantastic service it should be if the community get behind it and offer support for the station. This is YOUR opportunity to get involved and help get the streaming radio off the ground.
