Comic Relief has announced that the next application deadline for proposals under the Red Nose Day Main Grants Programme is the 12th October 2007. The Red Nose Grants Programme is the largest grants programme operated by Comic Relief and provides funding on 6 programme areas. These include young people, older people, mental health, refugees and asylum seekers, domestic violence and disadvantaged communities. To programme is open to applications from voluntary and community groups.

The type of costs covered by the programme include, the running costs of organisations, costs for specific projects, for building costs and for capital items. In addition there is also a small grants programme for applications under £5,000 in the areas of disadvantaged communities, older people and mental health. There are no deadlines for applications to the small grants programme..
