Abbey Charitable Trust is committed to supporting local communities and disadvantaged people, particularly in those areas where Abbey has a significant presence. They work in seven areas across the UK - including Greater Glasgow in Scotland.
The Trust provides grants for registered charities for work in the following three areas:
- Community regeneration (including projects where different parts of
the community work together to help improve the local area)
- Education and training (this does not have to be formal training or
lead to a qualification, but could be part of lifelong learning)
- Financial advice to help people manage their money
Applications can be made at any time, and most donations will be between £500 and £4,000. If you live in that area and would like to find out more, go to www.abbeynational.com click on ''CSR'' then ''Charitable Trust''.
