European Refugees Fund- Call for proposals

The Home Office has announced that the European Refugee Fund (ERF) is now open for
applications. The aim of the ERF is to support and encourage the efforts made by the EU Member
States in receiving and bearing the consequences of receiving refugees and displaced persons. A
total of £1,000,000 million is available to support projects that promote the employability of
refugees and displaced persons and projects that promote "meaningful contact and constructive
dialogue between refugees and the receiving society, including actions which promote the
involvement of key partners such as the general public, local authorities, voluntary groups, etc.
The maximum funding available per project is £250,000 per year for up to a three years. The
closing date for applications is the 22nd February 2008.
