North Glasgow Healthy Living Community
North Glasgow Healthy Living Community (HLC) has been funded through Glasgow City Council, NHS Greater Glasgow, and North Glasgow Social Inclusion Partnership. Following the holistic approach to health and wellbeing, we are committed to ensuring health improvement across an area of 70,000 people.
Our Aims
Working with partner organisations we will improve the health and wellbeing of those living in North Glasgow by:
- facilitating strategic partnerships to join up services, refocus plans and resources, and deliver sustainable initiatives to meet health improvement needs of the communities of North Glasgow more effectively
- working with existing local health and wellbeing projects to promote networking opportunities and aid the transfer of good practice that exists in communities
- helping facilitate partnership working to add value and meet common agendas in holistic health and wellbeing
Our Work Areas
In recent months we have worked in partnership with local organisations and projects to address local health issues focusing on our 4 key work areas:
- physical activity
- healthy eating
- arts and leisure
- mental health
Our Target Groups
As well as the local network of projects and organisations, our main target groups are:
- children and families
- young people
- carers
- isolated and excluded individuals
