MAIN SERVICES

  • Generic Carers  Information, Support,Campaigning and Networking Forum
  • We are a non-funded volunteer group supported by the North West Carers Project.

We keep our forum members informed on what is happening in the carers world. We do this by means of a quarterly newsletter and Full Forum meetings where all our members can attend and get involved in the disscussion.

Our monthly committee meetings are open to all ( on the first friday of each month 10.30 a.m. at the North West Carers Project  Killearn Resource Centre  29 Shakespeare street  Maryhill  ).

The committee reflects the forums makeup. We are current and ex-carers.  Covering  Learning Disabilities, Mental health, Dementia.

We are not funded nor do we rely on fund raising, although we have applied for grants from appropiate organisations.
We have Lobbied Holyrood and have written to 63 Primary/Secondary Schools in north and west Glasgow  with a questionnaire regarding their policies on Young Carers, this is ongoing.
            
Our longterm goals are tweaking and monitoring the System . To keep the Carer Perspective high . To support members and signpost them where we can.
