Overview

The Cisco Discovery Course offers a hands on, career orientated approach to learning networking. The course maps directly to everyday experiences with networks and covers key networking concepts according to the types of practical network environments students may encounter; ranging from home office or small business networking to more complex enterprise and theoretical networking models later in the course.

In addition to job search skills and activity and career preparation, candidates learn key skills for employment through hands on activities and technical labs.

Candidate profile

A previous demonstratable interest in IT is desirable and a minimum of basic IT skills is required.  A literacy and numeracy Assessment will also help determine your suitability for the course.

Anticipated employment routes

Successful students can expect to gain employment in IT or Network Support fields where fast career progression is common place if you are committed.
