Shared Involvement
This package can be a starting point for some or a progression from the Primary Contribution Care Level. This is the next step in taking responsibility for your Community Channel. It can also be the starting point for those Partners who wish to have more control over their Community Channel from the beginning.
The initial set up will be the same as the Primary Level, however instead of the Website Development Worker updating your Community Channel with your content, the responsibility will be shared so that whoever is the main contact for your organisation will have editorial permission to alter content on the Community Channel. On completing this package you will have:
· A fully functioning Community Channel with as much information about your organisation
as you require
· Various sections of Content, for example, “About Us”, “News”, “Contact Us”
· Full assistance from the Website Development Worker when needed
· Training on Sitekit – the Content Management System that allows you to edit content
· A login and Password with permissions to edit some content on your Community Channel
· Further training on Sitekit with the goal to move on to the Advanced Contribution Care Level
Steps involved in creating your Community Channel:
1. Complete steps 1 – 4 as in the Primary Care Level
2. Once the initial Community Channel has been composed, the WDW will set up a block of short tutorials to enable the Organisation Contact to have access to update their Community Channel themselves. This will involve creating a Login and giving certain access permissions to the Organisation Contact and training on how to use specific areas of the Content Management System “Sitekit” which is the online application used to manipulate the content of the Community Channel. It is at this time that the WDW and Organisation Contact will decide upon the sections that they wish to have responsibility over.
3. Until the Organisation Contact has completed adequate training on “Sitekit”, they are able to contribute directly to the WDW (via email or the contribution pages on the Portal) so as the information on their Community Channel will always be fresh and up to date. This stage is only permitted until the Organisation Contact has completed their training.
4. The Organisation Contact should now be able to update specific sections of their Community Channel and eventually can progress onto the next level
What happens next?...
The Advanced Contribution Care Level package is the next and final level for you to reach. Following this level you will have full responsibility for your Community Channel.
The Website Development Worker is available to assist with ANY issues regardless of the Care Level that has been reached, please do not hesitate to contact should you require support.
The Website Development Worker has full access and permissions to ALL content on the Access North Glasgow Community Portal. If there is any questionable content added to the Portal it will be dealt with accordingly – please make sure you read the Community Channel Policy carefully.
