The main aim of the centre is to provide vocational and non vocational classes to the people of Milton and surrounding areas. As well as the educational classes we are also used as an outreach base for Glasgow North Regeneration Agency, Possil Stress Centre and Greater Milton and Possil Credit Union. We also run a Playscheme throughout the Summer for our students and their children.
MAIN SERVICES
Adult Education Classes: Multi Media, Interior Design, Psychology for Fun, Computing, Soft Furnishings, British Sign Language, Tracing your family tree, Digital Photography, First Aid, Basic D.I.Y.
We also provide literacies tuition 3 half days per week. We offer one to one sessions as well as groupwork sessions.
OPENING TIMES
Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm Tuesday evenings 6.30pm - 8.30pm drop in computer class
FACILITIES
Tea and coffee are available to students. We have a community shop that provides sandwiches and soup.
The Milton Food Project are also involved in a wide variety of activities across North Glasgow. They provide low cost, quality fresh fruit and veg and foodstuffs to the local community. The provide cookery demonstrations on site and on an outreach basis. The Food Project also provide volunteering opportunities and training.
Creche There is a crèche on site for children of students attending courses within the centre.
ACCESSIBILITY OF THE CENTRE
The centre has an open door policy and has disabled access. We also have access to a variety of aids such as hearing loops etc. and we have access to all the facilities provided by Anniesland College such as their library and Metro centre.
