Included in Hugh Reid's gift to Springburn in 1904 was New Mosesfield, to serve as a museum and reading room. Built in 1838 to replace an older house nearby, it is in a romantic Tudor style with which it mixes a Victorian bow window. Architect, David Hamilton, had his name carved in large letters over the doorway. It is many years since it functioned as a museum, but now combines Parks Department accommodation with an elderly men's club. |
