The building in the middle is the Lodge.
Just around the corner in Vulcan Street is the Springburn Masonic Lodge, founded in 1909, succeeding an earlier building. Captain Speirs of Elderslie, Provincial Grand Master, performed the opening ceremony.
The masonic hall is still in use today.
Vulcan Street it now cut in half where the Railway Mission once stood (building on the left of photo)
Seth Sykes, a tramway worker, was one of the Railway Mission's most famous Pastors, he worked along side his wife, Bessie, who was an evangelist and wrote many well-known hymns.
The congregation was transferred to the Springburn Baptist Church after the Railway Mission was demolished in 1981.
